Michel the captain

Michel, was born in Brussels, within a family of enthusiasts.

At 12, Michel was already following art courses.

At 18 he follows photographic sessions with IFAC in Brussels.

In the same time he was an ardent lover of astronomy following the trainings of the Royal Belgian Observatory.
At 21 he was an active member of the Astronomical Brussels Association.

Michel's studies are more technical, he collected electricity, mechanics, electronic and nuclear sciences technologies as engineer. He woked four years in an hospital as isotop specialist. Then he begin to work as software engineer and so as consultant until today.

But he never turn aside from the sea.

With Navistop, he learned to sail around Breskens.
In 1984, he buy a first sailing boat : a wood Cognac of 7m35 done in May 1968.
Then he follows theoretical navigation courses with the Brussels Royal Yacht Club. In 1990 he succeed to the exam of Navigator.

His second boat was a Westerly Merlin 28". Michel was sailing with her from the Baltic sea to the Med, with a first sabatical wintering in Greece in 1993-1994.

Back to Belgium he was learning the watercolor technical and soul, and there he meet Jannik.
